Day01: Fly to Lukla Trek to Phakding:
It takes 35minutes scenic flight through mountains to arrive at the Tenzing-Hillary Airport located at 2804m altitude in Lukla known to be the most dangerous airport in the world. Disembarking at Lukla, the thrilling trekking sensation kick starts as we pursue the trekking trail via Dudh Koshi River to head towards Namche Bazaar. About 4hours of casual walking will take us through the enchanting hamlet at Ghat to reach Phakding village.
Day02: Trek to Namche Bazaar:
Plodding along Dudh Kosi River, we will cross the bridge and enter the serene belt of Sagarmatha National Park. Escalating through Himalayan Pine and Deodar Cedar forests, we will arrive at Namche Bazaar which falls under one of the biggest villages on Everest Trail. Namche Bazaar is historically prominent for being the ancient trade center for Nepalese and Tibetan traders who exchange salt, dried meat and other consumable and textile items.
Day03: Rest day at Namche Bazaar:
There is going to be a remarkable increase in altitude after Namche Bazaar. Thus acclimatization is a must whereby we will try synchronizing our bodily functions in accordance to the given surrounding. It is better to visit the local Bazaar of Namche and the nearby Sherpa villages rather than lying idle. Or you can proceed to the nearby Museum that depicts the culture of indigenous Sherpa people. We will stay in hotel at Namche Bazaar for the night.
Day04–Trek to Tengboche:
Chasing the path that overlooks mountains, we will pass through grooves with chance of wildlife views and descend to Kayangjuma that extends further through Sansa and cross the bridge at Dudhkoshi River to arrive at Phuki Thena bit far whence is located Tengboche which holds the largest Monastery in entire Khumbu Region.
Day05–Trek to Dingboche:
Confronting the scenic views of Tobuche peak, Ama Dablam, Nuptse and other peaks, we will move forth several scattered villages lined with chortens and Mani Walls to Pangboche Village. Entering the Imja Valley, we will lower down the hill to Lobuche River prior to escalating uphill to Dingboche where we will be staying overnight.
Day06–Rest Day in Dingboche:
Acclimatization is a must. Subtle walking is preferred than lying idle for acclimatizing. Side trip to Chhukung can be arranged which takes 3-4 hours from Dingboche. Enjoying the glaciers and snow shrouded peaks, we will return back to Dingboche.
Day07- Trek to Lobuche:
Chasing through the Khumbu Khola Valley, we will cross the bridge over the stream to Dugla with views of Thamserku, Nuptse and other mountains. Crossing the boulders from Khumbu Glacier we will move forth Chupki Lhara whence the trail descends through the glacier to Lobuche that allows the exquisite views of Nuptse, Pumori, Khumbutse and several other mountains.
Day08- Trek to Everest Base Camp to Gorak Shep:
Moving along the rocky path with mesmerizing views of the pool of Khumbu glacier and icebergs, we will cross Thangma Riju and advance through Changri Glacier to Gorak Shep Lake that eventually lead us to Everest Base Camp. Later we will hunt down the trail back to Gorakshep where we will be staying in a camp.
Day09- Trek to Kalapatthar Return to Lobuche:
This day of trekking will lead us to Kala Patthar that is known better for its sunset view than the sunrise view. Indulging in the serene beauty of Everest and several other Mountains, we will make a return trip back to Gorak Shep afterwards which the trail lowers down all the way to Lobuche where we will be staying overnight.
Day10- Trek to Dzongla:
Pursuing the tapered path, we will traverse the plain land prior to escalating uphill towards Dzongla where we will enjoy the finest views of Lobuche, Lobuche West, Cholatse and Tabuche.
Day11- Cross Cho La Pass Descend to Thagnag Kharka:
Moving along the rocky terrain with arid texture, we will enter the valley before clambering the steep slope and chasing the icy path all the way to Cho La Pass. Lowering down the stone paved path, we will arrive at Phedi prior to heading towards ridge that stretches further to Thagnag Kharka.
Day12- Trek to Gokyo:
The trail on this day advances forth the path of glacier that opens up at first lake which further takes us through the easy trail along Dudh Koshi River to Gokyo located adjoining the third lake where we will be staying overnight.
Day13– Trek to Gokyo Ri Back to Gokyo:
An early morning walk will lead us to Gokyo Ri located at 5300m altitude. Refreshing with the captivating looks of 4 eight thousanders, Mount Everest, Cho Oyu, Makalu and Lhotse, we will descend back to Gokyo where we will be staying overnight.
Day14- Cross Renjo La Pass Trek to Langden in Thame Valley:
Walking past the boulders and moraines, we will arrive at Renjo La Pass from where we will enjoy the enthralling views of mountains, Gokyo Valley and glacier prior to lowering down to the secluded northern lands to Langden in Thame Valley where we will be spending night in a wilderness camp.
Day15- Trek to Thame:
Continuing down from Langden, we will pass through few Sherpa settlements to alluring highland village of Thame. Amusing in the fascinating spectacle of Thamserku, Kantenga and Kusum Kangguru Mountains, time permitting, we will visit its popular Monastery before staying overnight in a camp.
Day16- Trek to Namche Bazaar:
It is going to be an easy trek this day as the trekking trail progresses through the plain land lowering down to Thamo. Stopping by the Khari Gompa, we will head further towards Namche Bazaar where we will be staying in a hotel.
Day17- Trek to Lukla:
7hours of downhill trek will be enough to take us to Lukla where we will be staying overnight in a hotel as we prepare ourselves to board a flight back to Kathmandu the next day.
Day18- Drive back to Kathmandu:
30-minutes of picturesque flight above mountains will finally lead us to domestic airport in Kathmandu from where we will head towards our hotel. The free time can be utilized by visiting the freak streets of Thamel to buy the souvenirs. A dinner will be hosted in the evening to commemorate the successful trekking to Everest High Passes (Renjola and Chola) Treks.
