Island Peak is one of the popular peak climbing destinations in Nepal that is situated on the pinnacle of the glacier known as Chukung, connecting Ama Dablam and Lhotse Mountains. Island Peak is the most hunted trekking spot due to its tough geographical structure. It is believed that every year almost 300 groups of people try to scale this peak every year. Island Peak provides an outstanding chance to ascend the Himalayan summit as well as thrilling hike towards Everest Base Camp plus Kala Patthar. The most difficult part is considered as a mixed rock, ice wall that lies in the slope slides which leads next to the thin summit edge. An appropriate time for climbing Island Peak is in the month of March- May and September- December.
Reaching the summit is a difficult task and hence when you reach the top of the Peak you will be fittingly rewarded with the splendid observation from the top. Trek in Dudh Koshi valley is important before you embark in Island Peak. You may be tired after the trekking of Dudh Koshi so, when you feel good and comfortable and feel refreshed then we will move for the Island Peak. Apart from trekking you will be blessed with perfect village of Sherpa and artistic monasteries. When you are done with Peak Climbing, you will return over the route back following Namche to Lukla along with good and different memories and from Lukla you can take the flight for Kathmandu.

Day 01–Arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu
Upon your arrival at the International Airport in Kathmandu, our team members will welcome you and explain briefly about the travel itinerary. You will then be taken to the hotel where you will be staying for the overnight.
Day 02- Flight to Lukla, trek to Phakding
On the second morning, you will board a flight to the Lukla Airport, also commonly known as Tenzing-Hillary Airport. It is a wonderful mountain flight and the flight itself can be no less than an adventure as the airport is enlisted as the most dangerous airport in the world, given the location, altitude and topography. In less than 30 minutes, you will reach Lukla while enjoying the breathtaking views of the mountains during the flight. After landing at Lukla, you will take light breakfast and embark on the trek. In around 3 hours, you will reach Phakding village where you will be staying overnight at a guesthouse.
Day 03– Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m)
On the third morning, we resume our trek and follow the trail along the Dudh Kosi River while ascending through Himalayan Pine and Deodar Cedar forests to the ultimate destination, that of popular village of Namche Bazaar. The village of Namche has remained a historic trading point for Nepalese and Tibetan traders who exchange salt, dried meat and other consumable and textile items. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Namche.
Day 04- Rest at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization
The fourth day of the trek will be spent in Namche itself for acclimatization purpose. As the altitude will now increase significantly, a day for acclimatization is paramount and strictly advisable for prospective trekkers. One can spend the day in Lukla visiting the local Bazaar of Namche or visiting the nearby Sherpa villages. If you are not much tired and are ready for a few hours of trek, then you can go to Everest Hotel for great panoramic views of Mount Everest, Mount Lhotse and others. Located at an altitude of 3900m, Everest Hotel is the hotel that is situated at the highest altitude in the world. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
Day 05- Trek to Tengboche (3,867m)
Tengboche (3,867m) is another village of Khumbu region which lies in North Eastern Nepal. Tengboche is famous for the presence of a Buddhist monastery thought to be built in 1923.Tengboche offers panoramic sight of Himalayas, Mountains and different popular Peaks. Tengboche is also the birth place of mountaineer Tenzing Norgay Sherpa. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
Day 06- Trek to Pheriche (4,371m)
The next day, after having breakfast in the morning, we resume our trek and head towards Pheriche. Pheriche is another village of Eastern Nepal of Khumbu Region with an altitude of 4,371m. It is famous for trekkers as well as climbers as it is the stop point for them where they can have some rest. Initially, this place was known for farming potatoes, buckwheat and rearing Yaks. At present in summer, people especially male are engaged in trekking as a trekkers or guide or bearers. Overnight stay at guesthouse.
Day 07- Trek to Lobuche (4910m)
On the 7th day, we will head towards Lobuche after having breakfast in Pheriche. Lobuche is a beautiful place with beautiful mountains. Basically it is inculcated with two major Peaks which are named as Lobuche Far East and Lobuche East. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
Day 08- Trek to Gorakhshep (5164m)
Gorakhshep is an ending trail for numerous trekkers in the Khumbu Region which is decoded as “Dead raven” in Sherpa idiom. Apart from the habitat it is known as a residential territory for large flocks of soaring ravens. It is interesting to know that Gorakhshep is the final village before you reach to Mount Everest. You can stop here for the lemon tea too. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
Day 09- Trek to Dingboche (4,530m)
On the 9th day, we will be moving to Dingboche as it is the famous place in the Khumbu region and all the trekkers and climbers take rest before they start to Mount Everest and other Himalayas. People who live in Dingboche have their main occupation as tourism, especially by running lodges or tenting areas. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
Day 10: Trek to Chhukhung
On the 10th day, we will move to Chhukhung early in the morning taking your breakfast. We need to walk a little bit more than the usual days as it a long days trek. Chukkang is just a little bit far from the Island Peak Base Camp. Overnight stay in a tented camp.
Day 11: Trek to Island Peak Base Camp (6189m)
We start early in the morning on the 11th day as we aim to reach the Island Peak Base Camp. We eat breakfast in the morning and start our trek to the Island Peak Base Camp. Island Peak Base Camp (6189 m) is a gigantic Peak and this Peak is not designed for all the Peak Climbers as it is very difficult to climb especially because of its high altitude. Many trekkers also suffer from high altitude sickness. You can also see Glacier Lake from the Island Peak Base Camp. Overnight stay in a tented camp.
Day 12: Trek to High Camp
The next day, we will hike further up to High Camp from the Island Peak Base Camp. You will be walking for 4 hours and be ready for the High Camp and put together preparation for the next day so that you can get to the summit next day. Overnight stay at tented camp.
Day 13: Trek to Summit-Chhukhung
Day 13 is the important one in the itinerary as you will scale the summit from where you can view Pumori(7161m), Lhotse (8516m), Makalu (8463m), Lobuche (6145m), Cho Oyu ( 8201m). These are the most fantastic views that you can see from the summit. Again after the trek we will go back over to Base Camp. Overnight stay at a tented camp.
Day 14: Extra day to attempt summit
Day 14th is an extra day for attempting summit. This is like a bonus day for the exploration. There are enough things to explore in the Summit and you will be lost seeing the beauty. Overnight stay at a tented camp.
Day 15: Trek to Tengboche
On the 15th day, we will resume our downhill trek from the Island Peal. Trek to Tengboche will take around 4 hours. Overnight stay at a guest house.
Day 16: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m)
The next day, we resume our downhill trek from Tengboche to Namche Bazaar (3440m). Namche is amazingly amazed place where you can enjoy the scenic beauty of nature. On the way you can even take a break to visit the typical villages of Khumjung along with Khunde. You can even visit the monasteries which are very unique in its structure. Overnight stay at a guest house.
Day 17: Trek Lukla (2850m)
The trek continues further downhill as we reach Lukla after almost seven hours of trek. You will be staying in Lukla for the rest of the day and prepare yourself to board a flight back to Kathmandu the next day.
Day 18– Fly back to Kathmandu
On the penultimate day of the tour package, you will board a flight back to Kathmandu while enjoining the 30-minutes of exhilarating mountain flight. The rest of the time in Kathmandu, you will be shopping and buying souvenirs to your loved ones. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 19– Departure to TIA, “Farewell!"
On the 19th day of the tour package, you will return to your country via the international Airport in Kathmandu.
