Naya Kanga Peak Climbing is a fun-filled activity. Popular among locals as Ganja La Chuli, Naya Kanga Peak exists to the west of Ganja La pass in Langtang region which is the nearest trekking region from Kathmandu.
Despite being a difficult peak to climb, the chance of getting close-up views of Langshisa Ri Mountain (6,370m), Shisapangma Mountain (8,046m), Langtang Lirung Mountain (7,425m), Pemthang Kapro Ri (6,830m), Langtang II Mountain (6,571m), Dorje Lakpa Mountain, Helambu Mountain  and other peaks and mountains in Nepal and Tibet makes this peak busy throughout the year.
Naya Kanga Peak itinerary usually lasts for 16 days but it can be customized to meet your needs. Come, be the part of this technical mountain climbing and leave with memories that you will cherish forever. Exploring Langtang National Park and witnessing wildlife views including rare red panda, visiting the picturesque Langtang Village and stepping to the Fluted Peak and Kyangjin Gompa are highlights of this trek. Day 16: Departure
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
You will be greeted by our representative as soon as you fulfill the custom and visa formalities. Since there are no planned activities set for this day, you will directly be transferred to the three star category hotel. Briefing regarding your trekking package will be made during the evening. Welcome dinner will be served in the evening. Enjoy the pleasant stay at the hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour
After breakfast, you will be provided with a guided city tour in Kathmandu which is regarded as City of temples. There are some sort of festivals always going on in this vibrant city. The guide will let you explore Kathmandu Durbar Square which is also known as Hanumandhoka Durbar. It used to be the Royal Residence before the Royal family shift their abode to Narayanhiti Palace. Enjoy the panoramic view of Kathmandu Valley from Swayambhunath Stupa which is the oldest Stupa in the world. Visit the largest stupa in Nepal at Boudhhanath Stupa and conclude the tour with tour of Pashupatinath Temple. Return to the hotel in afternoon and make necessary arrangement for trekking. 

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1462m) 7hrs
It takes 7hrs of drive to reach Syabrubesi from Kathmandu. From Kathmandu, head north and move along Queen Forest (Rani Ban) to Trishuli Bazaar. After brief break at Trishuli, move through Dhunche to Syabrubesi. The route offers striking views of Ganesh Mountain, Kerung Mountain and other peaks.  

Day 04: Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2500m) 5hrs
Cross the Bhote Koshi River and move along Langtang River before taking the escalating trail to Bamboo forest that is rich in wildlife like monkeys, bears and birds. Move through the Landslide area and walk along the bank of Langtang river to Ramche (2400m).

Day 05: Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3307m) 5hrs
Cross the rhododendron forest to make it to Gumanechok. Bit far from Gumanechok is Ghoda Tabela. Follow the escalating trail from Ghoda Tabela to meadow. The route offers view of rare spiny babbler. Move further to Langtang village.

Day 06: Langtang village to Kyanjing Ri (4773m), Trek to Kyanjing Gompa (3798m) 8hrs
Move through Sindum to Yamphu (3640m). Cross the Laja Khola and climb the moraine valley to the top of forested ridge. The ridge offers first view of Kyangjin Gompa along with breathtaking view of glacier from Langtang Lirung. Move to Kyankin Ri (4773m) and make it to Kyanjing Gompa.

Day 07: Visit Kyangjuma Gompa, Climb Chorkari Ri (5050m) 7hrs
Explore around Kyangjin Gompa. Visit government owned cheese factory. Climb Chorkar Ri (5050m) that offers spectacular view of Langtang Mountain. Climbing Chorkar Ri will help you to warm up for climbing Naya Kanga peak. Return to Kyangjin Gompa for overnight stay.

Day 08: Kyangjin Gompa to Naya Kanga Base Camp (4,600m) 6hrs
Leave Kyangjin Gompa and cross the river before walking through forest to Naya Kanga Base Camp. The Base Camp is located to the south of Gompa. You will reach the Base Camp in about 6hrs. Stay overnight in a tented camp.

Day 09: Base Camp to High Camp (5000m) 4hrs
Walk along moraines and boulders. Take extra caution while walking through glaciers. Learn some skills and practice for further climb. Stay overnight in a tented camp.

Day 10: Climb Naya Kanga summit (5846m) Return to base camp 7hrs
This is the day that we will finally conquer Naya Kanga peak. Start the climb early at around 4 am. You need to fix cables at several points. The climbing will be bit technical. Reach to the top of Naya Kanga peak and enjoy the views of mountains and peaks in Nepal and Tibet. Lower down to Base Camp for overnight stay.

Day 11: Reserve day for contingency
This is a contingency day if in case we cannot make it to the summit and return due to the unforeseen circumstances like bad weather or poor health condition of any of our team members. This spare day will be omitted if the trek proceeds smoothly.

Day 12: Base Camp to Kyanjin Gompa
Return from Base Camp and follow the descending trail through rock strewn path and forested ridge to Kyangjin Gompa for overnight stay.

Day 13: Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2500m) 5-6hrs
Follow the descending trail from Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel. The route will be scenic with views of several snow-clad mountains at the backdrop. Cross the rhododendron forest and reach Lama Hotel.

Day 14: Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi (1462m) 5-6hrs
Lower down through bamboo forest to Syabru Besi. The trail continues through the sporadic village settlements. Naya Kanga peak trek ends at Syabrubesi.

Day 15: Syabrubesi to Kathmandu
Follow the winding path and drive back to Kathmandu from Syabrubesi. The path curves and bends at several points and offers views of rice terraces and green hills. Stay overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu. 

Day 16: Departure
Our representative will drop you at Tribhuvan International Airport 3 hours before the scheduled flight. We hope to see you again. Bye!!!
