Pilgrimage Trek to Gosainkunda is a short trekking to the pristine realms of Gosainkunda Lake that takes us through the natural marvels to the serene Glacier Lake of Gosainkunda located to the north of Kathmandu in exquisite Langtang Region. Gosainkunda Tour hunts the remote and hidden path traversing the sparsely populated hamlets.
A popular myth associated with the frozen Lake of Gosainkunda associates Lord Shiva with its manifestation as legend holds that the lake was created by Lord Shiva when he thrust his Trishul (Trident) up a mountain to extract water so that he could comfort his burning throat after inhaling kalkut poison- a lethal poison. A ceremony is held each year in the full moon night of August when thousands of pilgrims get magnetically attracted towards the Holy Lake of Gosainkunda to have a ritual bath that could cleanse their sin committed in the life.
Our trekking expert from ‘Nexus Travel Tours’ have crafted a short trekking in Gosainkunda which lasts mere 7 days long initiating with a drive to the exquisite hill town of Dhunche which stretches through the woods of blooming rhododendron and conifer woods in Langtang National Park to the High Pass of Lauribinayak with panoramic views of Majestic Mountains before winding up in Holy Gosainkunda Lake.
